NASHVILLE, TN - October 21, 2011 - Confirmation.com, the creator and world's leading provider of secure audit confirmation services, announced today that it has won the 2011 NEXT Award for the Technology Market Mover category. In its inaugural year, the NEXT Awards were presented jointly by the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Nashville Entrepreneur Center to recognize emerging startups, growth companies and well-established market movers in the Middle Tennessee area.
"What a great honor it is to be recognized as a technology leader by the Nashville business community," said Chris Schellhorn, CEO of Confirmation.com. "Winning this award underscores the hard work we've put into making Confirmation.com the success it is today. We have an outstanding team and I look forward to many more years of continued growth and success."
"Our thriving entrepreneurial community has contributed significantly to the economic prosperity of Middle Tennessee," said Chamber President & CEO Ralph Schulz. "We are proud to be able to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of these businesses and individuals."
Confirmation.com received recognition as a NEXT Awards winner at an awards dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel. The awards dinner recognized the accomplishments of companies and individual entrepreneurs in five areas of business especially important to the Nashville economy: health care; technology; digital media and entertainment; sustainability and alternative energy; and social enterprise. Individual awards for successful youth, minority, female, startup and legacy entrepreneurs were also given, in addition to an Entrepreneur of the Year award.
"Recognition like this is so important for small business owners and their employees. The NEXT Awards can provide the exposure and motivation to propel these entrepreneurs to a new level of success," said Michael Burcham, Entrepreneur Center president and CEO.
